Are 24 Heads Better Than 1?

    Yes.

    Leaving it at that, this would be a very short post.  But let’s dig a little further, if for no other reason than to allow us the opportunity to expand upon what we know is our greatest strength.

    The Stephen Cooley Real Estate Group is a team.  A team of agents, staff and specialists each bringing their unique skills and abilities to bear on your behalf as our client.

    Before we hit that a little harder, a brief history.  Prior to the 1990’s the real estate world was predominantly populated by individuals working alone or loosely bound together under a larger company umbrella.  Shopping carts and bus stop benches proudly boasted the image of your agent in waiting, ready for your call to assist you in all things real estate related.

    Then things began to change.

    The world in general began to shift towards specialization.  To use an overworked analogy, the country doctor that helped with anything ranging from a head cold to an infection has been largely replaced by one point of contact surrounded by an entire network of interdependency.  One person takes the call, another takes your vitals.  You get the picture.

    Real estate began following this model.  Today there are an estimated 30-50 thousand real estate teams in the country.  Yes, THOUSAND. That number is set to double in the next 3 years.  So obviously there must be some advantages to the structure as we see the trend continuing to gain momentum.  Let’s explore.

    I’ll start by saying not all teams are the same.  Stephen Cooley had a unique, distinct image in mind when he set out to create his group.  Emphasis on operations was equal to that placed on sales and service.  A hand picked group of realtors with different backgrounds, market knowledge and specialization was brought together with a mandate that we work together and share our knowledge for the betterment of all.  Each of us are encouraged to do “The One Thing” we do best and move together towards our common goal.

    There’s an old adage that we’ve all heard, “If you want something done right, do it yourself.”  While this may be true in some cases, I promise you in many real estate related circumstances, one person doing EVERYTHING him or herself will almost guarantee it’s not done right.

    So what does it look like when you choose to work with our group?  First of all, you get the benefit Stephen himself directing the team.  Working alongside him, a listing department, closing department, marketing department – i dotters and t crossers – everyone we need making sure your chosen agent can spend their time out there creating relationships and serving our clients.  Photographers, IT specialists and runners each committed to supporting Stephen and our agents freeing up their time and energy to help drive you to your destination.

    In this case we can emphatically state that 24 heads ARE better than 1.  And if we were to find 4 or 5 more of those heads that match up with our culture and commitment, then 30 heads would be too!  In the end however, when it comes down to accountability, there’s a reason why it’s the Stephen Cooley Real Estate Group.  Although our dedication is shared, ultimately you still get an individual mandate to excellence that drives the vision.

    And we’re confident you wouldn’t want it any other way.
