Interview with Executive Director Paul Boger | Stephen Cooley Real Estate Show

This week Stephen had the opportunity to host the Executive Director of the Greater York Chamber of Commerce, Paul Boger. Paul helps get businesses involved in Western York County, they help business of all sizes grow within the community. Paul connects businesses with realtors to help show them properties throughout the community that they could move into. The chamber has 300 members who they help improve their business within the community.

Paul is a huge advocate for the city of York and all of Western York County. York, SC is the 2nd largest historic district in the state of South Carolina, the historic district is home to businesses and homes alike. It is second to Charelston, SC. York has some gorgeous historic homes, take a trip to York to drive through and see them! “Our mayor likes to say that Charleston is the York of the low country,” said Boger.

The Greater York Chamber of Commerce hosts Summerfest each year in August and this year it will be August 24-25. 2018 will be the 35th year that Summerfest has been around and it is the largest festival that happens in York each year. This year they are expecting around 45,000 people to attend. Summerfest has a car show, food vendors, vendors such as businesses, arts and crafts, children’s events and 5k and 10k.
