Blake is a transplant to the Greater Charlotte area and has been with the Stephen Cooley Real Estate Group since 2017. He is one of our Fort Mill based realtors who loves kayaking, cooking and anything historical related. Blake has recently helped several first-time home buyers, check out what his clients are saying about him:
I had the pleasure of working with Blake Payton to purchase my very first home! I honestly was so scared about going through the process because I’ve heard how stressful buying a home can be, especially your first! Working with Blake and his team at Stephen Cooley was about as stressful as eating a bowl of ice cream… Blake was so responsive and answered all of my 675 questions, even during his vacation (I tried not to bug him too much). We had a stress free closing today and I get to move into my new home this weekend! Thank you Blake and team for your hard work and dedication. I very much enjoyed working with you and I will refer all my friends and family to you guys! -Jessica Shuttleworth via Facebook
How long have you been with the SCREG?
I started with The Stephen Cooley Real Estate Group July of 2017.
How did you hear about the Stephen Cooley Real Estate Group?
I knew Stephen before my career in Real Estate and was familiar with the success of his team. After obtaining my Real Estate license and going about the individual agent route, I decided to start interviewing for teams and fell right in love with the way SCREG operated.
What’s your favorite thing about being a part of this agent group?
The support, mentor-ship, and trailblazing mindset this team has. I have never been around such like-minded and goal achieving people.
What makes the Greater Charlotte area a great place to live?
The CAROLINA PANTHERS! 😊 No- but honestly with Charlotte’s big city amenities such as: theaters, top-tier restaurants and hotels, sports franchises, and malls,- AND being able to drive 15 minutes outside the city to a more quiet country area, you get the best of both worlds. Not to mention you can pack up the car and head to the mountains OR the beach is less than 4 hours!
Are you from Charlotte or the surrounding area? If not, tell us where you’re from and how you came to Charlotte.
I moved to Charlotte back in 2008 but I am originally from Louisville, Kentucky. My mom and sister moved here in 2003 and I followed down after I graduated college.
Do you have any hobbies? If so, what are they?
I absolutely love being outdoors. Kayaking and hiking are my favorite go-to’s but as long as it is outside, count me in! I also love to cook and am a big history buff.
You have Diabetes, can you tell us how that factors into your day to day?
Honestly, it is just another thing to think about and factor in throughout my day. I am constantly monitoring my blood sugar levels and if anything, it has helped me improve my preparation for my day- making sure I have a snack on hand if I know I will not be eating for a while.
For 2018, what are you most excited about in the real estate market?
2018 is such an AMAZING TIME to be in the market right now with low interest rates for buyers and the high demand for houses for sellers. I would say because of this, I am most excited to see how many families I am able to help take advantage of this hot market and obtain their home ownership dreams! It’s such a good feeling.
