Indian Trail, NC Real Estate

Indian Trail is a town in Union County that was founded in 1861. It got its name from its long history of trading as traders would follow the “Indian Trail” which longed from Petersburg Virginia to the Waxhaw Indians. In 1874 the Seaboard Railroad was built, and the area saw growth. In 1907 the city if Indian Trail was incorporated. The city has continued to grow over the past 20 years and is still increasing steadily.

A 1990 census stated that the city’s population was 1,942 and in 2010 the populations had swelled to 33,518. Every year on the 4th of July the city has a large parade and it is known to be one of the largest 4th of July parades in the Charlotte Metro area. Indian Trail has continued to add more attractions to the area such as Crooked Creek Park, Chestnut Square Park, Zip Line, Golf Course, Walking Trails and more! The continual increase in attractions and close proximity to the Charlotte area have made Indian Trail a great area for people to move to.
