Indian Land, SC Real Estate
Indian Land is in Lancaster County between Fort Mill SC, Ballantyne NC, and some cities in Union County such as Marvin and Waxhaw. It is an unincorporated community within the county that does have it’s own zip code and is about 20 miles from Uptown Charlotte. In early 2018 residents tried to incorporate into a municipality but that vote did not pass and it remains unincorporated. Indian Land received it’s name due to the fact that this is an area in the Upstate that continued to be populated by the Catawba and Waxhaw Indian Tribes after the European settlers came into the area.
Indian Land has currently boomed over the last couples of years with lots of new restaurants, shopping centers and many neighborhoods as it’s a great place to raise a growing family:
